Take a look at the place, the people and the food…
How it all came to be…
Many concepts are designed to be “one size fits all” for multiple locations. Each location must be exactly the same every time you visit. We wanted to create a concept that could provide a need in the community and to make each location unique in its own way. This is how and why Rev Cafe was created.
Let us introduce ourselves
The best part about this adventure is that Jaclyn helped Joe become saved in 2010, and helped him get to know Jesus. The Costanzos believe in helping everyone, including non-believers of Christ, and hold this statement very true to their heart: “Work like it all depends on you, but pray that it all depends on God.”
They also believe in living debt free, as the bible says “the borrower is slave to the lender”.
Joe started in the restaurant business at age 14 as a busboy at a small Italian restaurant in South Florida. He moved his way up to server at age 16, and held the position until his departure at age 18, when he decided to attend FSU in Tallahassee, FL.
Upon arriving to Tallahassee, he got a job with a local staple in the area, where he worked during college. After marrying Jaclyn and having their first child at age 21, he and Jaclyn decided to open a restaurant that was part of a local North Florida franchise. Joe and Jaclyn have owned the restaurant going on 8 years now (still currently involved). They have three girls (Alexis, Isabella, & Elinor), and Joe completed his bachelor’s degree at FSU.
After having the restaurant for a year, Joe realized the business needed a robust Point of Sale and inventory management system. Newly married, with a new business and new baby, he realized this was going to be a very expensive need. With a new product on the market called an iPad, Joe searched for a system that could run on this new type of technology. After months of research, he finally stumbled upon exactly what he was looking for. He saved up for the system and, since he studied networking and web design in college, he set it up himself. He enjoyed setting the system up so much he decided to resell for the company, and started Pos Revolt (posrevolt.com), a technology and restaurant consulting firm.
After spending years with the local franchise, with much success, Joe & Jaclyn felt the need to venture out on their own to keep the passion they have always had in the restaurant industry. They moved to a quiet life in the small town Monticello, FL, and felt the only thing missing was a great restaurant. So why not open one?
Now, having this concept that was started from the ground up, they can work together on Rev Cafe. Joe working to design the menu and Jaclyn to design the interior of the restaurant.
